A man has been shot during an attack in Derry.
Detectives are appealing for information following a paramilitary style shooting that occurred in the Corrib Court area of Ballymagroarty.
At approximately 11.40pm last night, police received a report that a 42 year old man had been shot in the left leg by a man that is described as being approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a balaclava and dark clothing.
The 42 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injury which is not believed to be life threatening.
Police have appealed to anyone that noticed any suspicious activity in the area around 11pm to contact CID in Strand Road Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

Sinn Féin Councillor Eric McGinley said it was the second shooting in the area in the past month.
“It’s important to repeat the message that there is no place for guns on the streets of our city.
“The community does not want this and the people behind these actions need to stop."
