A 27 year-old man has been charged with a violent attack, possessing cocaine and cannabis and disorderly behaviour in a bar in Derry.
Diarmuid McLaughlin, of Stewarts Terrace, appeared before Derry Magistrates Court charged with the offences, which are said to have been ‘aggravated by hostility’.
The incident allegedly took place on April 6, 2014.
A police officer in court said that he could connect McLaughlin to the charges.
McLaughlin was released on continuing bail and banned from having any contact with the injured party or any witnesses.
McLaughlin will appear back before the court again on July 31.
