A date will be set in January for the contest involving former Derry City and Celtic footballer Patrick McCourt on a charge of sexual assault.
McCourt (39) of Wheatfield Court in Muff County Donegal faces one charge of sexual assault that was said to have occurred on January 30 this year.
At today's hearing a barrister for McCourt, Eoghan Devlin, asked for a date to be fixed for contest.
He said there would also be an abuse of process application which could be heard on the day of the contest.
A prosecution solicitor said that she did not have any availability for witnesses and agreed to the adjournment.
The case was adjourned until January 13 when a date will be fixed for the contested hearing.
McCourt is currently on bail.
