The GOAL Mile will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, with more than 25,000 participants running a mile to raise funds for the poorest and most vulnerable communities across the world.
This year Derry, A Goal Mile will be taking place from Sainsbury’s car park on St Stephen's Day, between 11am to 1pm.
The walk will make its way along the river and across the Peace Bridge to Ebrington and back to Sainsbury’s car park.
Everyone is welcome - a good way to walk off the turkey.
The first walk was organised by Sister Bernardine, principal of Nazareth House PS and the school continues to support the walk which is now in its 20th year.
