A young woman who committed what a judge described as 'a very, very flagrant breach of bail' has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court.
Tamsin Palmer (19) of Jefferson Court in Derry appeared charged with breaching her bail within 24 hours of being granted it.
The court heard that Palmer was granted bail on November 18 and then left her address in breach of her conditions and in breach of her curfew.
A member of staff at the housing complex warned Palmer as she left that she was breaching her bail but she left anyway.
A police officer told the court that police only located Palmer on November 27.
Defence counsel Sinead Rogan said that Palmer had a social worker who was trying to assist her.
She said her client had no record.
District Judge Barney McElholm said it was 'a ludicrous situation' where Palmer simply ignored her conditions despite being warned by the staff member.
He said this was 'a deliberate decision' by Palmer to stay away.
He revoked bail and remanded Palmer in custody until December 8.
