Inishowen girl Caitlin Strain
Inishowen and the north west has been plunged into mourning this morning following the sad news that brave nine-year-old girl Caitlin Strain has passed away.
The young Burnoot girl had battled bravely against a brain tumour for a number of years.
Numerous funding raises drives had taken place in recent months to secure funding to allow Caitlin to receive specialist treatment in the US.
Caitlin will be deeply missed by her parents Thomas and Eimear, her loving sisters Maria, Danielle and Laura and her loving brother Michael.
Caitlin will be sadly missed by her grandparents Monica Gibson and Ann Strain, her uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.
Caitlin's remains will be reposing at her home from 4.00pm this afternoon.
Removal from her home on Tuesday, November 29 at 10.15am to St Aengus' Church, Burt for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in St Mura's Cemetery, Fahan.
