If you're in the mood for a drive this weekend, you're in luck. A road in the northwest has been named as the most beautiful drive in Ireland. The Glengesh Pass in Ardara claimed the top spot on the list and was described as the one area that you just cannot get tired of visiting. Donegal also had another entry with the Inishowen 100 in tenth place, with a stop in Malin Head to take in the scenery as being a highlight of the drive. The list was compiled by Done Deal Blog, who scoured the country for the most scenic roads to drive. The Glengesh Pass beat the Ring of Kerry and the Burren in County Clare to claim the top spot. The blog said of the Glengesh Pass "In the summer months, nowhere else looks prettier in our whole country than the count of Donegal, and it’s a fair assessment to make that the drive through Glengesh Pass is as good as it gets." "This whole range is a bright, beautiful green in the summer months and is a breath-taking drive" This adds to the host of accolades the County has already received from being named the 'Coolest Place on the Planet' by National Geographic Traveller and the Donegal Airport claiming second place in the 'Most Scenic Landing Strips in the World.'
