Derry cops give a bit of friendly advice for those having fun in the sun

Derry cops who claim they have been sweltering in offices and cop cars with no air-con have still found it in their hearts to give a bit of advice for people in the city having fun in the sun. As the temperature soars today, the witty Derry PSNI decided to update their Facebook status with a few of their observations around the city including bare-chested, sun-burnt menfolk. They wrote: 'BREAKING NEWS It’s WARM sir! My biggest clue was driving around the city and noticing that every other male has gone “taps aff”. My next clues were the unbearable heat in the Office and the Shogun’s AirCon being on the blink. (I think Inspector M should send us home . . . and give us the rest of the week off.) Anyway, I was chatting to some of our local youths yesterday and one looked like he’d stuck his head in a pan of cooking oil he was so red! So take care: drink lots (of water) and get the sun cream on. If your kids are playing outside make sure you drench them in that Sun Cream #TapsAff #WearSunscreen #KeepingPeopleSafe'
