A county Derry family who have annually raised money for Altnagelvin's Neonatal Unit for the last 24 years have presented their latest donation of £4,000 bringing their contributions to almost £70,000 over the years. Sinead and Daniel O’Connell presented the donation of £4,000 to Altnagelvin Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Daniel was born 26 weeks premature and received care in the unit. Every year since he was born, 24 years ago, the family raise funds and present them to NICU. Over the years the family have donated approximately £68,000 to the unit that cares for premature, low weight or unwell babies. The family raised the money by hosting an annual Feis at the Diamond Centre, Claudy. They would like to thank the dancers, teachers, dancing schools and parents of An Comhdhail for their kindness.
Pictured receiving the kind donation are staff from NICU, Margaret, Lorraine, Siobhan and Sonya.
