Police appeal for public's help following weekend vandalism in Carnhill

psnirecruitment
Police have appealed for help from the public following a spate of vandalism in Carnhill. Police said: 'On Sunday 1st July officers from the Reducing Offending Unit were out patrolling alongside LPT colleagues in the Carnhill area of the city, when they discovered a red Volkswagen Jetta with the rear passenger side window smashed. 'The owner was quickly located and she was obviously distressed to find broken glass all over her child’s car seat. 'A short distance away were the remains of 8 newly planted trees which had been broken, placed in a pile and set on fire. 'Both incidents appear to have happened overnight. 'The PSNI recognise the invaluable assistance of the public in identifying those responsible for these acts of vandalism and would encourage anyone with any information to contact 101 or Crimestoppers using the reference number 634 01/07/2018.'
