Translink forced to cancel bus services to the Bogside, Brandywell and Creggan last night due to continuing trouble

Translink have said that Foyle Metro services 8A, 8B and 8C, which connect the city centre with the Bogside, Brandywell and Creggan areas, had to be cancelled yesterday evening due to the ongoing trouble in the Bogside. The move came after a Housing Executive van was hijacked in the Creggan area and set on fire at the bottom of the Lecky Road flyover, pictured above. Translink has not said if the services have been resumed this morning.
