PSNI appealing for information after report of youths burning bins and stoning vehicles in Collon Lane area of Derry

Police in Derry are appealing for information after they received a report of a number of youths attempting to burn bins and throwing stones at passing vehicles in the Collon Lane area of the city. The incident occurred just after 8.50pm last night (Wednesday, July 11). Sergeant Cummings said: “Two petrol bombs were thrown. No injuries were reported. Police attended to conduct a check of the area, however, no youths were located. "Anyone who was in the area at this time and saw what happened, or anyone who has information which could assist our investigation is asked to call police on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1493 of
“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
