BREAKING: PSNI issue appeal to local parents after more petrol bombs thrown at police this evening as trouble erupts in Bogside area of Derry again

The PSNI has said that a number of petrol bombs have been thrown at its officers in the Bogside area of Derry this evening. It marks the sixth consecutive night of trouble in the area. A PSNI spokesperson that a large crowd is now gathering in the area, some of whom are young children. They have now appealed to parents to make sure their children are not involved in the unrest. "We regret to say that we are experiencing further disorder in the area of the Bogside with a number of petrol bombs already thrown at police," the spokesperson said. "There is a large crowd gathering. "It is clear that there are young children involved. "Parents - make sure your children aren’t involved.
