Derry's council is to switch the water fountains back on at Guildhall Square after they were turned off due to the hosepipe ban earlier this month. The move was announced at this afternoon's meeting of Derry City and Strabane District Council's Environment and Regeneration Committee, and has been welcomed by the SDLP's Martin Reilly.
