Derry Sinn Fein councillor Colly Kelly announces that he is to step down from the position

The local Sinn Fein councillor Colly Kelly has announced he is to step down from his position on Derry City and Strabane District Council. Sinn Fein has said he will stepping down as the elected representative in the Moor Ward for family reasons. Cllr Kelly has been in the role since 2010, after he was co-opted to replace Peter Anderson on the old Derry City Council. He has been successfully re-elected twice. Sinn Fein has confirmed that Cllr Kelly will be stepping down from the role and taking up a new position within the party.
