Derry cops praise 'taxi hero' with 'kindness and patience without limits' who helped a lady with dementia

Derry cops have shared a heart-warming story of a local 'taxi hero' who helped an elderly lady with dementia when she became confused and didn't know how to get home. Foyle PSNI shared the story in a post on their Facebook page yesterday. The post said: 'Just started the 13 hour Foyle Maritime Festival shift and already have another great story from the City. 'Taxi pulled up to the station as we were cycling out the gate. Lovely older lady in the back suffering with Dementia with no idea how to get home. 'Taxi man with kindness and patience without limits drove her round before having to come to us. With our combined skills we managed to get hold of a daughter. Our Taxi hero drove her over to a waiting Sunday Lunch. 'When I mentioned the income he has lost he dismissed me instantly saying that he couldn’t consider leaving her and that he hoped someone would treat his mother the same.
