Derry Girls have taken the lead and fans have until 10pm tonight to help the home-grown comedy win Radio Times Comedy Championship

Fans of home-grown comedy, Derry Girls, have until 10pm tonight to vote as many times as they like to put the show in the top spot for the Radio Times Comedy Championship. It has been a very close run thing with the other contender, Inside No 9, jockeying for the top spot against Derry Girls. Writer, Lisa McGee, a Derry girl herself, has been taking to Twitter to urge people to get behind the highly acclaimed Channel 4 show. Derry Girls, which won Best Comedy earlier this year at the Irish Film and Television Awards, was commissioned for a second series due to its huge popularity and the debut show pulled in a whopping 2.5 million viewers. There's not much in it and it has been pretty much 50/50 the last 24 hours. Click this link below to vote - once you vote you can click 'return to poll' and go back each time and vote as many times as you like. Get voting for Derry Girls!
