31 Jul 2018
The people of Derry and Donegal have been asked to give their feedback on a Greenway linking the North’s second city to Buncrana. Sinn Féin Foyle MLA Raymond McCartney has encourage local people to make their views known. He was speaking after it was announced that the submission deadline for feedback on the route between Buncrana to Derry, has been extended to Friday 31 August 2018. Raymond McCartney said “I would encourage anyone who has a view on the plans for a new Greenways project which will link Derry with Buncrana to submit their responses before Friday August 31. “Greenways have the potential to strengthen activity tourism, as well as being an invaluable health and wellbeing resource for local communities. It will protect and enhance the countryside and open spaces around it to a whole new generation. “I look forward to seeing work begin on this project and others as soon as possible.”
