A Derry councillor has welcomed the beginning of resurfacing work on a car park in Creggan he described as an 'eyesore'. The resurfacing work is taking place at a heavily used car park on Iniscarn Road in Creggan; local Sinn Féin Councillor Kevin Campbell said: “I am glad to see that resurfacing work has finally started at the car park adjacent to homes on Iniscarn Road. “I have been lobbing the Housing Executive to have this parking area resurfaced for some time as it was an eyesore. “The old phone box has also been removed due to complaints from residents of anti social behaviour there. “This resurfaced parking space will be well used by local residents and people attending St Mary's Chapel for Mass and funerals in the City Cemetery."
