Police confirm pedestrian killed in Claudy road collision was a 58-year-old man from the Derry area

The PSNI has confirmed that a man who died in a collision on the Foreglen Road near Claudy this morning was 58-year-old Eamon McCafferty from the Derry area. Mr McCafferty died following a collision on the Foreglen Road near Claudy at around 2am this morning. PSNI inspector Peter Duncan said: “We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the Foreglan Road at around 2am to contact us. We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the man walking along the road or of the Blue Hyundai involved in the collision. Please call 101, quoting reference 154 18/08/18.”
