54-year-old Derry man admits charges of running a brothel during court appearance this morning

A man has admitted a charge of brothel keeping when he appeared at Derry Crown Court today. Paul McGrory (54) of Ardfada, Ardmore in Derry, was charged with brothel keeping on dates between February 8, 2016 and November 16, 2016. When the charge was put to him he pleaded guilty. McGrory also admitted a charge of acquiring criminal property namely cash to the value of £17,375 on the same dates. Defence counsel Mr Stephen Mooney said that he had not been expecting the guilty pleas but added he had issues to discuss with the prosecution. The case was adjourned and McGrory was released on bail until September 25.
