The body of a young man has been recovered from the River Foyle in Derry. Volunteers from Foyle Search and Rescue discovered the body this morning. They had been engaged in a search for a young male since last Monday when reports were received that somebody had been seen entering the water near the Craigavon Bridge. Shortly after the discovery, the Police Service of Northern Ireland were notified and family members of the deceased informed. In a message on social media, volunteers and staff at Foyle Search and Rescue offered the family concerned their deepest condolences at this difficult time.
