A Derry GP has issued a warning to older people to ensure they receive this year's flu vaccination after revealing that there has been 'difficulties' with its supply. Commenting, Dr Paul Molloy said: "There have been difficulties this year with the flu vaccination. "There is a new vaccine for over 65's which is recommended. "Unfortunately. the supply is proving difficult and both Public Health and doctors are trying their best. "We will have complete supplies by the end of November. The main epidemic of flu every year tends to come after this. "While you may not get your flu jab as early as in previous years it is important that you still get it when invited as it will give protection. "People die of the flu every year so please get your vaccination. "Everyone is apologetic regarding the problems this year and planning for next year has already begun."
