Police come under attack from youths during searches in the Creggan area of Derry last night as part of investigation into dissident republican activity

The PSNI has said that its vehicles came under attack following searches in the Creggan area of Derry last night as part of ongoing dissident republican activity. A police spokesperson said: "Police carried out a search at a house in the Ballymagowan Road area last night as part of ongoing dissident republican activity (Thursday 18th October). "A number of youths damaged police vehicles in the area, but there were no reports of any injuries."
