A police officer told Derry Magistrate's Court that he was fearful for the safety of a man in custody charged with conspiracy to kidnap another man should he be released on bail. Simon Clarke (21) of Woodbrook in Derry is charged with conspiracy to kidnap and possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances on September 21.
