Derry school kids tackle big environmental issues at 'City2Sea' conference

Pupils from Derry schools gathered at the Guildhall yesterday for some fun environmental workshops as part of Council’s City2Sea: Pathways for Litter Conference in partnership with Keep NI Beautiful.

The schools included Model PS, Oakgrove Integrated PS (pictured), Glendermott PS, St Theresa’s PS

The conference event took place over two days at the Guildhall, Derry, bringing together local authorities, businesses, NGOs and other engaged stakeholders from across the UK and Ireland to examine the various issues around river litter and how they can be tackled.

The second day of the event was title ‘Litterbugs’ and provided the opportunity for local children to find out more about the journey of litter and the impact that individual actions can have on making our environment better.
