Man seriously injured in Maghera assault

A man has sustained serious injuries following an assault at a house in Maghera last night. The PSNI has launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident at O’Hara Road near the south Derry town at around 8pm on Tuesday (October 23). Police say that three men entered the house and assaulted the man. He later attended hospital for treatment. Dectective Inspector Handley has appealed to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any dascam footage to comer forward. Anyone wishing to contact police in relation to the attack is asked to contact detectives at Cookstown on the non-emergency number 101 and quote reference number 1214 23/10/18.
