A Derry based youth group has issued a direct appeal to the young people who were involved in an incident in the Strathfoyle area last night. Police came under attack in the Stradowen area following reports that a large group of young people had gathered in the area. A spokesperson for the Enagh Youth Forum said: "There were up to fifty young people in the Strathfoyle area last night engaging in underage drinking and breaking glass bottles. "The young people congregated in Strathfoyle from all areas of the city. "Enagh Youth Forum would encourage these young people to get in touch and help plan positive activities for the evenings and weekends. We will also have three new outreach youth workers in place before the end of November. "If your aged 10 and 25, get in touch with us on Facebook or call us on 02871860377."
