City of Derry Airport reassure public ahead of emergency training exercise tomorrow

The City of Derry Airport have told the public not to be alarmed and reassured them that emergency services will not be impacted ahead of an emergency training exercise tomorrow. The emergency training exercise at City of Derry Airport (CoDA) will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5pm until 10pm. The emergency training exercise is in partnership with the PSNI, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, the Western Trust, Northern Ireland Rail, Red Cross, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Ulster University and North West Regional College. In a statement CoDA said: "The purpose of the exercise is to test the airports emergency and safety capability. The public can be assured that emergency services will not be affected during this time. "We thank the public in advance of this exercise for their co-operation, with disruption to the public being kept to a minimum."
