28 Nov 2018
A talented Derry photographer who captures priceless memories for families who have lost their children at birth has been given a special award. Leisa Smith received the Unsung SuperStar award for donating her spare time to the Lavender Suite in Altnagelvin Hospital, where she offers her photography services to families whose children have died before, during or shortly after they were born. She was given the award at a recent glittering awards ceremony in Belfast. Leisa has also raised a lot of money for the Lavender Suite by conducting photo shoots for local families and donating all the proceeds.
