Man returned for trial charged with possession of drugs

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges. Patrick Glenn (39), of Carnhill in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today. He was charged with producing cannabis on April 25 2016, possessing the drug with intent to supply and possessing the drugs on the same date. He was also charged with possessing cannabis resin, dishonestly using electricity and possessing criminal property namely cash on the same date. It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. Glenn said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court sitting on January 17 and released on bail.
