Man jailed for holding ex-girlfriend hostage and threatening to cut her throat

A 33 years old man who held his former girlfriend hostage in his home and who  threatened to kill her by cutting her throat with a knife, has been jailed for 18 months  at Derry Crown Court. Adam Jordan, from Northland Drive in  Moneymore, Co Derry, admitted charges of falsely imprisoning  his former girlfriend and threatening to kill her in his home on 8 December 2017. Pointing out Jordan had 23 previous convictions and was on court bail for other matters at the time, Judge Philip Babington imposed an 18 months jail sentence.
