Suspected car bomb in Derry

The PSNI is investigating a suspected car bomb in Derry. Bishop Street Has been closed. It has issued an appeal to the public to stay away from the area. It posted the above picture on the PSNI Foyle Facebook page. It added: "As far as we know no one injured. There is another car we are not happy about. There are ongoing necessary evacuations. If you live Bishop Street or Bishop Street Without look at potentially making preparations to leave. We can only apologise for any inconvenience."   PSNI tweet ✔ @PoliceServiceNI Police are in attendance at the scene of an incident in Derry/Londonderry city centre. We would ask for patience and co-operation of the public and the business community as we carry out our initial investigations.
