47th anniversary of Bloody Sunday marked at Westminster

The 47th anniversary of Bloody Sunday was marked in London yesterday. Sinn Fein Foyle MP Elisha McCallion was among those at Westminster who remembered the victims killed on 30 January 1972. Speaking yesterday, she said: "Today on the anniversary of Bloody Sunday when 14 civil rights marchers were murdered by the British army, I and my fellow Sinn Féin MPs marked the 47th anniversary at Westminster. "We send our continuing solidarity to the families of those whose loved ones were murdered." Ms McCallion concluded: "I commend the families for their long campaign for truth and justice and assure them of our continuing support."
