Man granted anonymity returned for trial on drug supply charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges. The accused, who has been granted anonymity, appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court this morning He was charged with possessing cocaine on 4 January last year and with offering to supply cocaine on the same date. He faced further charges of offering to supply cannabis on the same date. The man was also charged with offering to supply cocaine and cannabis on 6 January last year. He also faced a charge of offering to supply cannabis on 10 January 10 the same year It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. The man said he did not wish to make any statement or call any witnesses at this stage. He was returned for trial to the Crown Court sitting on February 26 and released on bail.
