BT plans to replace hidden telegraph poles on the Coshquin Road have been welcomed by Sinn Fein Councillor Eric McGinley. He said residents in the area had brought to his attention  the condition of telegraph poles on the Coshquin Road adjacent to Ballymagroarty. He added: "Some of the poles were covered in foliage and residents expressed concern that they may be in danger of collapsing. "Subsequent to my request to BT to carry out an inspection I have now been informed that several of the poles will be replaced in the forthcoming period. "I would take this opportunity to thank BT for its speedy response and to the residents for highlighting this issue.” Photo shows Councillor McGinley at one of the hidden poles on the Cosquin Road
