Royal occasion at the official opening of new £24m Foyle College campus

The new £24m Foyle College campus on the Limavady Road in Derry was officially opened today, marking an important milestone in the school’s long history in the city. The official opening was performed by Princess Anne who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion. Foyle College principal, Patrick Allen, said teachers and students now had the modern facilities to match their enthusiasm and passion for learning and teaching. He added: "With the benefit of the facilities that are now available I am confident that the school will go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
