Derry man returned for trial to Crown Court on GBH charge

A Derry man has been returned for trial to the local Crown Court on a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm on another man.  David Quigley (31. of Dacre Terrace, at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court.  He was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent on a man on 20 September last year.  He also faced a charge of possessing an offensive weapon namely a knife on the same date.  It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.  Quigley said he did not wish to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.  He was returned for trial to the local Crown Court sitting on March 12 and remanded in custody.
