Motorists advised of delays as city centre lane closures take effect from today

As of today (Monday 11 February) works to connect a new sewer for the Holiday Inn development will begin at the bottom of Great James Street in Derry city centre. Work will begin next Monday (18 February) on Strand Road for approximately two weeks. A full traffic management plan will be in operation and minor delays are possible as a result of the lane closures. Traders who experience any difficulties or have concerns in regarding to this work are invited to contact the City Centre Initiative (CCI) on 028 (71) 360169 or the contractor directly by calling Contract Engineer Jonathan Ferris, TOC Utilities on 07793412672. A CCI spokesperson said: "The contractors would like to thank you for your patience whilst they complete these works and hope to complete the work as soon as possible to avoid any long term disruption."
