Outrage at vandalism attack at Creggan Country Park
11 Feb 2019
Vandals who have caused damage to an outdoor classroom at the Creggan Country Park have been slammed by Sinn Fein Councillor Kevin Campbell. The classroom is used to give free environmental education programmes for children of all ages and nature activities during summer for care home residents and older people with dementia. Councillor Campbell said: “It’s very sad once again to see a community facility being targeted by vandals. A few weeks ago we had the attack on the OLT building on Central Drive and now this. “These vandals are hurting their own areas and hurting the organisations who are working night and day to provide facilities right in the heart of the community." Cllr Campbell concluded: “I would urge anyone with information on those responsible to bring it forward straight away to prevent further attacks."
