Independent Nationalist candidate for the Moor has thanked residents and Council officials after he secured new fencing for Riverview Park that replaced material that had fallen into disrepair.
Mr Doyle said: "I was contacted a number of weeks ago by residents of Abercorn Road whose properties back onto Riverview Park. They were worried about the state of fencing that ran across their yards and kept people from climbing over walls.
“True to the character of the residents they were more concerned with a young people falling from the wall than their own properties.
“I spoke with Council officers and have now secured a new 2.4 metre fence that will be erected in the next 6-8 weeks. The fence will be one metre from residents back walls and will continue to let light into their properties.
“I want to thank residents for their patience and officers for their help in securing this positive change."
