Independent Nationalist candidate says Sinn Fein should stop ‘digging an electoral hole’

Doyle

Independent Nationalist candidate for the Moor, Emmet Doyle has branded repeated press statements from Sinn Fein representatives on how they will address the impact of welfare reform as “embarrassing.”

He said: "Sinn Fein's ludicrous attempt to fool people into believing they are not responsible for the hardship in the North as a result of their endorsement of so-called welfare reform is nothing short of cringe worthy.

“The people I have spoken to on the doors in the last few weeks know that Sinn Fein betrayed them and they are further angered by attempts from their elected representatives - some taking full Stormont salaries still - to seek to dream up solutions to a problem they created.

A statement released outlining their demand that the Department of Communities seek to continue mitigations is actually embarrassing.  People are not stupid and Sinn Fein should stop digging themselves an electoral hole."
