Woman questioned by police about murder of Eddie Meenan bailed

A woman who appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court charged with breaching her bail had been arrested in relation to the to the murder of Eddie Meenan in the city last year. Sinead White (35) is on bail on three charges. She is charged with assaulting a female on 28 December last. She also faces a charge of possessing an offensive weapon namely a poker on the same date and also possessing Xanax. A defence solicitor told the court his client had lived at the same address for a considerable period of time. He added: "Recently. there was a murder in the city and this woman was arrested and questioned in relation to that and was released without charge. "Since then she has been the victim of intimidation and has been forced to move address on several occasions." There were no police objections to White being re-released on bail and she will appear again on March 14.
