Man charged with serious assault and possession of a knife granted bail at Derry Magistrate's Court

A Derry man charged in relation to a public altercation with a woman has been granted bail at the city's Magistrates Court today. Detectives charged the 28-year-old man with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon to appear before Derry Magistrates' Court this morning, Saturday April 27. The charge is in relation to the report of an incident at the Strabane Old Road in Derry on Thursday April 25. A 22-year-old woman also arrested by detectives investigating the incident has been released on bail pending further enquiries. See full story in Monday's edition of the Derry News.
