Council Election 2019: Turnout for Faughan DEA announced

The turnout for the Faughan District Electoral Area has been announced at the count centre based at the Foyle Arena in Derry. Chief Executive of Derry City and Strabane District Council John Kelpie, who is acting as Deputy Returning Officer announced that the eligible electorate for the DEA was 13,601-the total of votes polled was 7,246 meaning that turnout was 53.28%. That represents an increase of 3.76% in turnout in this DEA from 2014. There are 10 candidates seeking five seats in this DEA at this election.
