Council Election 2019: Turnout for Ballyarnett DEA announced

The turnout for the Ballyarnett District Electoral Area (DEA) for the local authority election has been announced. John Kelpie, acting as Deputy Returning Officer for the DEA said that the eligible electorate for the area was 17,425, the total votes polled were 9,774 and so the turnout stands at 56.09%. The percentage turnout in Ballyarnett DEA at the 2014 local election was 49.9%. Therefore there has been an increase of 6.19% from five years ago. There are 11 candidates seeking six seats in the Ballyarnett area this time around.
