Council Election: Turnout for Foyleside DEA announced

The turnout for the Foyleside District Electoral Area (DEA) has been announced for the local authority election. Deputy Returning Officer John Kelpie said that the eligible electorate was 13,233, the total amount of votes polled was 7,520 and so the turnout was 56.83. At the last Council Election in 2014 the turnout for this DEA was 51.39% so there has been an increase of 5.44%. There are nine candidates seeking five seats in Foyleside this time around.
