Derry City and Strabane District Council is advising the public that most council services will continue to operate as normal over the St Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday on Tuesday, March 17.
Bin collections will run as scheduled, and all recycling centres across the city and district will open with their usual opening hours on St Patrick’s Day.
Cemeteries, museums and visitor services will also operate as normal, with both the Guildhall and the Tower Museum’s Derry Girls exhibition open to the public.
The Foyle Arena will open as usual on the Bank Holiday, however all other leisure centres will be closed for the day. These facilities will reopen on Wednesday, March 18.
The council offices at Strand Road, Derry, and Derry Road, Strabane, along with the Registrar’s Offices in both locations, will be closed on Tuesday, March 17 and will resume normal operations the following day.
Council's dog wardens and kennels will operate as normal throughout the Bank Holiday.
