Northside PO closing on March 26.
Shantallow Post Office is to close on Thursday, March 26, at 5.00pm.
In a notice headed Branch Unplanned Closure, Post Office area change manager, Janese Sung said the Post Office within the Northside Village Centre said: "Regettably, following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use, the branch will be closing".
"I would like to assure you that we are working hard to keep any period of closure to a minimum and we are currently investigating the options available which will enable us to reinstate a Post Office service to the local community," added Ms Sung.
"In exploring this, it is important that any future service is sustainable for the person operating the service for the Post Office Limited.
"We apologise for the inconvenience the closure may cause. We hope that our customers will continue to use Post Office services and details of possible alternative Post office branches in the area are shown at www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder.
The Supervalu store which houses Shantallow Post Office is also set to close - on March 31, 2025 - which will result in 30 staff being made redundant.
