Officers mark 15 vehicles as local owners take advantage of the free crime prevention scheme for the first time

Successful trailer marking day at Craigbane GAC

Strabane Neighbourhood Policing Team held a successful trailer marking event on Saturday, February 28. 

Officers were kept busy at Craigbane GAC where they marked 15 trailers, with the vast majority of those attending and making use of the scheme for the first time.

This free crime prevention measure deters criminals and assists police to establish the legitimate owners of vehicles.

It only takes a few minutes to complete and, as Saturday shows, these events always get a really good take up and the free slots get booked fast. 

Police want to thank Craigbane GAC for use of their car park. To anyone interested in finding out more, or even how to go about arranging this type of event, call 101 and ask to speak with the Crime Prevention Officer.
